HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Today's scriptures are about the healing power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. How many times have you thanked Jesus today? Jesus takes on every bad thing that's inside of us, and purifies it. He's responsible for our life as we know it, and every aspect of our growth. His blood makes us whole, healthy, happy, peaceful, and just overall blessed. God give Him power over all things on this earth, and by His blood we have received power as well. All we need is a little faith, and everything that we ask, in His Name, will be granted, including the healing of any sicknesses, heartache, or pain. When we cast our cares upon Him, and leave them there, He'll work it out for our good. Jesus fulfilled everything that was prophesied about Him, and to this very day He continues to live and heal.

There are many accounts of the adult life of Jesus, written in the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The most popular stories about Jesus were the ones about the miracles and wonders He performed. These miraculous acts were all themed around faith. He only healed those who believed that He could, and He loved them deeply. He didn't separate the good and bad people, or weigh His decision on how many sins those people committed, but He saw their heart. He never asked them how they got sick, or never pondered over what could've made them disabled, but He simply healed them; no questions asked. He still intercedes for those of us who love and believe in Him; as if He's here, and we're able to touch the bottom of His robe.

After Jesus' death and resurrection, He appeared to His disciples on the third day, just as He'd promised. He was with them, but disguised Himself so that they wouldn’t recognize who He was. He traveled with them, but it was getting dark and they asked Him to stay and have dinner with them. It's written: When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" (Luke 24:30-32) Just as in this story Jesus walks with us each day. Even when the story said “He disappeared”, He was still with those men. When we’re sick, or weak in our mind, body, and/or spirit, it seems like we’re all alone, but never fear Jesus is with us each step of the way. Sometimes He’s right in front of us, but disguised as someone else; you can tell by that warm feeling in your heart.

Jesus came to the disciples again, one last time before His ascension into Heaven. It’s written: Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." (Luke 24:45-49) When Jesus died, He not only afforded Salvation to the otherwise lost, but He also “clothed us with power from on high”. This power is given to each person that believes that He is Christ, and it also gives us the authority to heal and be healed in His Name. Hallelujah!

We find some of God’s promises about our Savior, written by the Prophet Isaiah. It’s written: But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. (Isa. 53:5) Jesus confirmed this prophesy fulfilled when He broke bread with His disciples, shortly before He went to be with His Father in Heaven. Remember, when He broke the bread at the last supper, Jesus said “Take, eat; this is My body broken for you”? (Matt. 26:26) Jesus endured so much just so that we wouldn’t have to. He had mercy on us, and gave us an incredible blessing, which allows us to live in victory. From this day forward, don’t allow the enemy to keep you under any type of bondage. Ask for healing over anything that ails you, in the Name of Jesus, and at the same time claim that healing, and thank Him for it. Each day Praise God for the healing you’ve received and watch your situation get better. Sometimes it’s a process, but continue to believe in Him, because He’ll never forsake you.

It’s amazing how many things there are that could makes us sick, and not just physically, but mentally. Jesus gives us freedom from all types of illnesses-things and/or people that pollute our mind, body and spirit. We must be diligent in seeking Him, and learning His promises, living in the way that He taught us, in order to stay healthy all the way around. Think of how He was killed for us; hung, bled, and died for the sake of our wholeness. Faith is all we need to achieve complete wholeness in Christ. It has nothing to do with our circumstance, but with Who and What’s on the inside of us. If you don’t know where you stand in Christ, take a few moments to take the God Quiz today. HAPPY TUESDAY!

I pray everything is going well with your Lent vows, and you're making it through the wilderness. Bear in mind that just as Jesus was tempted you'll be tempted, greater than ever before, so continue to keep your focus on the Lord. You're not of this world, so know that through Him, you have the strength to move mountains. Now is a good time to read the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Reading these books of the bible, will give you a new outlook on Christianity, as well as bring you closer to Jesus. I challenge you to read each book before Easter, or at least one, I’m starting with Luke, but you can choose any one you’d like. This is the last week of Black History Month, have you been enlightened a bit so far? Here's today's quote, "Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated." Today's scriptures are about the Blood of Jesus. I've previously written about the importance of blood in the body, and why Jesus’ shed blood is symbol of pure water used to cleanse sin. According to iwebb.carterbloodcare.org: Blood carries gases, nutrients and waste products throughout your body. Blood also fights infections, heals wounds and performs many other vital functions. There is no substitute for blood. It cannot be made or manufactured. The only source of providing blood to patients who need it is for caring individuals to give it. We have several organs in our body that we just cannot live without, but blood is the most vital part, because it's responsible for the cleansing process. The body generates waste automatically, so it's in need of a cleanser to keep everything functioning correctly. We're often called "the Body of Christ, because we function similarly too the human body. God created us to work together as a unit, yet we each have a unique function. Sin is inevitable for man, so we need that one element that's meant to keep us alive, clean, and functioning properly. Jesus is that element that was created for the sole purpose of Salvation of the human race. Sin brings death to the Soul, but He came to give life, and He's the one thing that we cannot "live" without. Before Jesus’ death, He had one last supper with His Disciples, and He explained to them what to do to remember, or give tribute to Him. Most Christian Churches practice a Holy Communion ceremony, some every service, some weekly, and others monthly. No matter how often you practice it, do it in remembrance of Christ's shed blood, that's meant to cleanse our soul from all unrighteousness. Paul wrote this to the church: For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. (1 Cor. 11:23-32) I know this seems like a lot of information all at once, but if you've never taken Holy Communion before, then now you know how necessary it is. Jesus' Blood purifies the mind, body, and soul, to give us Eternal life in Heaven, and an abundant life on earth, full of love, peace, joy, and happiness, no matter our circumstance or situation. He wanted us to physically have something to hold on to, to remind us of His unconditional love, and the great sacrifice that was made for us. It also makes us responsible to truly confront our sin, and make a vow to change our ways. If you don't know whom Christ is, or is bogged down by the burden of sin, examine your heart right now. Confess your sins, ask for forgiveness, and repent. The last steps of Salvation are to ask Jesus to come into your heat as Lord and Savoir, and eventually be baptized by water to commemorate this awesome covenant you've made with God. Allow Him to lead the way, follow with a clean heart, and watch the magic happen all the days of your life. My favorite verse today is: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22)

HAPPY TUESDAY!

I pray all is well with everyone, and you're enjoying another beautiful fall day. I cannot believe that September is coming to a close already, because it seems like it just began. I've had a really full September, filled of ups and downs, and it's been like this for the last few years. I sometimes wonder about that. I know that all things work together for our good, so I'm relying on God to reveal the whys behind everything in due time. I saw my grandmother last night, and she's doing well, although she's exercising a little pain and discomfort. The doctors are still trying to get rid of the pneumonia, but she's breathing a little better. It's a bit touch in go, but she's in good hands. The holidays are coming up, so I hope she’ll be doing a lot better, and get her strength back so that she can travel with us. I've fallen off of my gym workouts because of my extremely busy schedule over the last few weeks, but I'll get back in there tonight, please pray for me. I know I'll have a little difficulty, but it hasn't been that long. You are always in my prayers, be blessed, and enjoy the rest of this Terrific Tuesday.

Today's scriptures are about Jesus’ example of His undying love for us. Did your parents ever sing the song “Jesus Loves Me” to you as a child? My mom sung that to us as young children, and we also sung it in Sunday school, and on the church field trips. Most of us were taught, "Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so..." However, do we truly understand how much Jesus loves us? He loves us so much that He was hung, bled, and died for our sins. I lose sight of His love a lot in my personal life, because I often get so overwhelmed with battling my flesh, worry, and anxiety, that I forget what was instilled in me from a very small child. Jesus loves me! He died to save me, despite my flaws. The Lord of Lord stands in intercession for us, with our Heavenly Father, to make sure that we have everything we’ll need to have life, and have it more abundantly. Jesus constantly prayed that we become one with Him, when He walked the earth. He loved us so much that He wanted us to experience the peace, love, and tranquility that He had come to give. Luke chapter 17 has an account of a prayer He said specifically for Himself, His disciples and all believers. In the prayers for all believers, in verses 24-26, He says: “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” Until this day, He still wants what's best for us, and by His blood we can have it. When we accept Him as Savior, He's in us, and this is when our transformation to become one with He and God begin. We have confessed our belief in Jesus Christ, and He who sent Him. Thus we become Christians, and are to take on the attitude of Christ. Jesus was the least selfish man that you will ever know, because everything He did was to glorify our Father, and because of His love for us. Jesus' love plays a huge part in our transformation from Sinner to Saint. Through His Spirit that dwells in us He gives us step-by-step instructions on how to live a Righteous life. He taught us how to pray, and how to treat our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. When people see us, they should always be able to see that light. Jesus said we should always be kind to and pray for one another, as well as minister to the lost and misguided, to help them find there way. Losing all sense of self better allows us to become one with God. In every situation, when we ask ourselves "What would Jesus do", or stay in prayer seeking the right knowledge, guidance, and understanding, we figure it all out along the way. It becomes easier to accept the fact that Jesus loves us no matter what, just as we were taught as young children. We begin to be healed from sickness, depression, bad habits, and abuse to our bodies and others, etc., because Jesus' blood delivers us from it. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you may not get it after all. He's a simple prayer away, and if you need someone to pray with please let me know. My favorite verse today is: Christ ... suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. (1 Peter 2:21)
