HAPPY MONDAY!

Today’s scriptures are about being perfect in Christ. How many of you know that you’re perfect in the eyes of God? It’s not you in the flesh, but you in the Spirit, by the blood of Jesus Christ. God sees our heart, and not what’s on the outside. He’s concerned about what’s deep within, and if you believe in Jesus then you are made whole, wonderful, and perfect through Him. This is only possible because that’s what He is, and we are one with Him. Jesus is responsible for changing us, and promoting our growth, starting from the inside out. All we have to do is love Him, by seeking His face.

The Apostle Peter gave us all of the answers that we need, to live righteously in the flesh. When I read this, I felt like this is what I’ve been looking for. It simply answers the question, “How do I stay on the narrow path to righteousness?” In the section Confirming One’s Calling and Election (NIV), Peter explains how to stay in line with the will of God. The eye opening verses for me were: For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. (2 Peter 1:5-9)

Though we are perfect through Christ, we still must work toward making our flesh match our Spirit, truly living our life for Christ. As Peter mentioned, we begin our journey by faith. The act of confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior begins the washing and renewing of our soul, by His blood. Then we surround ourselves with goodness. If you’re going on a diet, you must rid your home of all the junk food and stock it with fruits and vegetables; things that will promote a healthy lifestyle. We must do the same thing when it comes to our Spiritual life. Rid your life of the people who are still stuck in the past, and aren’t looking to grow. Take on new friends who are looking for the same things that you are.

Once we surround ourselves with goodness, we must seek knowledge. We must open the Word of God daily, in order to learn about Him. The only way to please someone is by getting to know them. Learn what they expect of and from you, so that you can meet their expectations—the same goes for God. Then we must take what you learn, and use it to help you maintain self-control. That’s a big deal for each and every human being, because the flesh wants what it wants, when it wants it. It’s so hard to just say no; trust me, I still struggle with it every single day. However, self-control is a skill that we each have to master, but it takes knowledge and wisdom to learn how. These are the skills that are instilled in us by Jesus Christ, through the wisdom of God. It’s written: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. (Matt. 5:5) God understands that we want to be righteous, and are doing our best, so He’ll continue to strengthen our ability to maintain self-control.

Perseverance is right up there with patience for me. We each have a set of mental roadblocks that keep us bound, and these two or my biggest. I first started to break down that wall of perseverance when I read Jesus’ Parable of the Sower. I was so convicted when I read it, because I just knew that I was the seed that fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away (Matt 13:5-6). I was the type that was on fire for the Lord when things were going good in my life. As soon as I experience trials, I became the victim. I couldn’t praise God, because life sucked, and I let everyone know it. Then, when the good times came back, I was continued praising the Lord. I had to quickly realize that I must praise God through very circumstance. I’m gradually growing into the seed that’s planted on good crops, and I pray that my work will sow hundredfold [it’s a work in progress].

Perseverance will turn into Godliness, and the next thing you know, people will be able to see Christ through you more and more. Everything will change about you, your walk, your talk, and your demeanor. That Godliness will help you grow a mutual affection for God. You can’t help but praise Him, and talk about Him to anyone who listens. You’ll spend most of your time thinking about Him, and seeking His face, because you’ve realized that you’re filled with His love. Love, the greatest emotion, action, and lifestyle you could ever live. Hallelujah! I love everyone, and everything, at all times. I get angry and upset at times, and people make me mad, but at the end of the day, I’m so filled with the love of God that I cannot hate. Love is a part of my spirit, and I love hard, with no regrets, and few fears. I’m so grateful for that ability.

Peter mentioned that whoever doesn’t have these things are nearsighted and blind, because you haven’t realized that you’ve been cleansed of your past sins. You have yet to discover that you’ve been made perfect through Christ. Now it’s time to start your journey to discovering God’s will, and sowing this truth into other lost children of God. Today is the day where that could all stop and you can go through this transition that Peter wrote about. I can promise you, when you start this journey with Christ, you will never regret it. The first step is faith, so if you haven’t yet trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you cannot start on this journey. Take a few moments to take the God Quiz today! My favorite verse today is: Ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (2 Cor. 6:16)

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Today’s scriptures are about the truth of God’s Word. We are here to serve God, so the questions that come with that broad commandment are how, when, and with what do we serve Him. The answers to all of those questions can be found in the Word of God. God is your Heavenly Father, the One who will eventually Judge you for all of your decisions and actions in life, so it’s important to know what He expects from you. This is the reason why He gave us the Holy Bible, which is His living Word. Any question you have about Him, or life in general can be answered in His word. We could learn how to communicate with, obey, and love, Him all in one place.

I was just talking about how important communication is in any relationship. Without proper communication people end up making a lot of assumptions, and you know what they say about people who assume? The same is true for our earthly relationships, and even more so with God. Since He isn’t physically here with us every day, and we can’t have a “real” conversation with Him, He’s given us this handbook for life. Whenever we hunger and thirst for His wisdom or knowledge, all we have to do is pick it up. When we need answers to life’s hardest questions, or help making the toughest decisions, all we have to do is seek the truth in His Word. It’s called the “living Word” for a reason; because that’s the way He communicates with us. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you seek the answers, He will, and His Word comes to life. You’ll always find what you’re looking for, but you must communicate with Him first.

God expects us to be obedient, and every human being needs laws, which are setup to not only keep us safe from evil, but to keep us safe from ourselves. God understands the weakness and frailties of the flesh, so He had to put certain laws in place. It’s written: Oh, how I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep your Word. I have not departed from Your judgments because You Yourself have taught me. (Psalm 119:97-102) The Psalmist truly understood the secret to a peaceful life; it’s all here in black in white. Simply seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and He’ll give you all the wisdom, strength, light, and guidance you’ll need to make it to the finish line of life victoriously!

God is the Alpha and the Omega, and He created you for a reason. He has dominion over everything on this earth, which means that, as heirs to His throne, we could have the world at our finger tips. The only requirements is to first believe in His Son Jesus Christ, and confess Him as Lord, and then you’ll be baptized with His Holy Spirit. Next, we must do as the Psalmist did next, and ask for the wisdom to follow His will for our life. If you’ve made the step to confess Jesus as Lord, you are one of the chosen few, so it’s time to seek some answers. It’s written: Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me Your judgments. My life is continually in my hand, yet I do not forget Your law. (119:108-109) When we pray a prayer similar to this and then open the Word of God, a whole new world is opened up to us

I don’t know where I’d be without my bible; I feel lost without it. My Aunt gave me a bible cover as a gift, and I’m so grateful for it. I carry my bible everywhere, because I know it holds the truth. On this earth people are being controlled by the devil, and you just don’t know what to trust, because deceit lies in wait. Don’t forget the Spiritual warfare that’s constantly going on in our heart–spirit against flesh–so it’s good to have your “sword, which is the Word of God”, at hand. Whenever I feel lost, angry, lonely, scared, confused, or even happy, joyful, and content, I pick up the bible, and read the awesome promises of God. The more I get to know about my Savior Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father, the more I fall in love with them, which allows me to greater depend on, and trust, them with my entire life.

If you’d like to get to know who Jesus is, as Lord and Savior, in order to trust Him with your life, then start with the New Testament. If you have confessed Jesus as Lord, but that’s about it, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, open the book and start to read, I promise it’ll come alive, and eventually you won’t want to put it down. Don’t forget to meditate on His Word, because as soon as you take it in, the devil is coming to try and steal it, because He knows that God’s wisdom is the only way we can defeat Him. It’s written: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…(Hos. 4:6) To seek God, through His Word, is the most important step to maturing in your faith walk, so take some time out to study each day. My favorite verses today are: My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. (Job 23:11-12)

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

I'm grateful for the Lent season, and happy I decided to follow this religious tradition. Being "in the wilderness" has allowed me to understand much. As well as challenged me to focus on the ways and teachings of Christ, and really strive to be like Him. Jesus was an extraordinary man (still is), who had all of the answers to living a peaceful life. In some cases He taught in parables, but this was meant to challenge us, and help us relate is teachings to "real life" experiences. Have you started reading the Gospels yet? I've started reading the book of Luke, and once I get started I can't put it down. The stories come alive, and I'm discovering so much more than I did before. The miracles and wonderful wisdom He shared, are awesome, so trust your Holy Spirit to guide you through this process. Get started tonight, if you haven't already, I promise you’ll will learn more each time you pick it up. Enjoy the rest of your day, and be blessed family!

Today's scriptures are about trust over logic. I talk about this subject with friends frequently, because it's important that we know that God doesn't always work according to the world’s logic. We’re led in ways we never thought possible, and we find ourselves questioning God, instead of trusting Him. He's equipped us with salvation through Jesus Christ, the Holy Bible, and step-by-step guidance by the Holy Spirit, so why the lack of trust? The real key to a life full of peace, joy, and happiness lies in three simple things, trust, love, and obeying God. The world works on the logical, and most people believe that everything is black and white, but what constitutes black and white? Logic is defined: reason or sound judgment, as in utterances or actions. It's acknowledged that we're in spiritual warfare, which consists of good versus evil. When we awake to see a new day, our main goal should be to follow the will of God, and create some good in the world. We can do that on many different scales, from something as small as smiling at someone who looks like they're having a bad day, or by stopping to help someone who appears stranded. It could go deeper with our professions, volunteer work, church affiliations, etc. Now logic says if we do good things we get good things in return. Even the bible says, "we reap what we sow", but what, how, and when, we should expect that good that we reaped, to be sown, remains a mystery to us. Isn't it logical that if we work our job eight hours a day, five days a week, the following week we should receive a pay check for forty hours of work? God doesn't totally work that way, He wants us to put our trust in Him, and work to store up our treasures in Heaven. He’s in control, so we must trust Him for everything, everyday, because our main commandment is to love Him. Trusting God to take care of our every need, without any tangible evidence of His existence, is a huge way to show Him love. Knowing in our heart of hearts that there is a God, and trusting Jesus Christ as our Savior, is what will get us into Heaven. No amount of good deeds, money, or power could do it. Let's look at the story of the Jesus and the rich young ruler: Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. (Luke 18:18-23) Now does this story sound logical to you? Do you think Jesus is literally saying you can't be rich and go to Heaven? Jesus was able to read this young man's heart, and so He knew that he would trust his money, more than he trusted God. Jesus simply challenged this man to make a decision, whether logical or not. Ultimately choosing God is all that matters. We do have moral rules to follow, so that's why Jesus named the Ten Commandments, but overall faith in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is most important. It's written: “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” (Mark 3:28-30). We're expected to make mistakes in life, so I urge you not to sweat the small stuff. Be diligent in learning the ways of Christ, growing in the wisdom of God, and making a conscious effort to change you sinner ways, but trust in God first, and He'll make sure you do the ladder. Trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and He'll spend the rest of your life proving His love to you, and He only asks that you do the same. My favorite verses today are: Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. (Psalm 62:8)

Daily Devotional Day & Night Post Number 200!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I'm very blessed to have made it through the week in good health and Spirits, God is good! I'm learning how to be more grateful for my blessings, because a lot of things we think are burdens are truly blessings. If you have a home to sleep in and food to eat you're blessed, because there are far too many people in this Country, and others, who aren't that fortunate. Let's continue to keep the people in Haiti in your hearts and prayers, because they're still suffering. Just because the media has turned its cameras back to Tiger Woods, doesn't mean that their struggle has ended. Although, Tiger needs our prayers too; when I think of him, and all of the ridicule and pressure he has to endure, I think: "he who is without sin, throw the first stone" (John 8:7). His issues are between him, God, his wife, and children, and it's none of our concern. At the same time, it's written, "To whom much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:48), so touché. I want all of you to enjoy your weekend, let's pray that we don't get any more snow for the remainder of the winter. Be blessed family!

Today’s scriptures are about asking for, and receiving the Wisdom of God. Okay, let’s start by taking inventory...1) we understand that God is the creator of all things. 2) He's the Alpha and the Omega; the ONE true God. 3) He's ever present, in all places, and knows all things. 4) He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for the sins of all mankind. 5) He's a loving God, who's slow to anger and quick to forgive. 6) He offers Salvation from the penalties of sin to anyone who asks in the Name of Jesus. 7) He answers every prayer of the Righteous, and all that's in His WILL is given. These seven statements simply scratch the surface of who our Heavenly Father is. He is in fact larger than life, but He knows each of us on a personal level. God’s so close to us that He knows our every thought before we think it. Now the question is how close are you to Him? Jesus gave us the ultimate Laws, “Love God with all of your heart and soul, and Love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Matt 22:37-40). God will always love us, but He’s given us somewhat of a choice to Love Him in return. The only way to adequately love God is to Seek Ye First the Kingdom. Go to Him with a sincere and loving heart and ask for His help, and thankfully we’re blessed with His Holy Spirit to help us along the way. It’s written: The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness. (Prov. 15:14) Let’s look at the life of King Solomon, the son of King David. God had made a promise to David that his descendent would inherit the Kingdom. King Solomon was a righteous man of God, but He didn’t know how to be a King, or how he was supposed to serve God, so he did the only logical thing, and asked. Solomon went to Gibeon, known as the “Great High Place” (or Temple), and gave his burnt offering. That night God came to him in a dream and said: “Ask! What shall I give you?”(1 King 3:4) Solomon went on to acknowledge the fact that he was chosen because of his father, but what’s even more fascinating is what he asked next. It’s written: Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. (1 King 3:7-12) Solomon went on to be the wisest man of all time, just because he knew what, when, and how to ask. Jesus gives us full access to ask God for anything, anytime, or anywhere, and wisdom is something we need to be a positive asset to the Kingdom of God, so He will surely give it when sought. If you want a change in your life, but isn’t sure how to do it, then you need wisdom. Go to God with humility, just as Solomon did, and ask, seek, and knock, in the Name of Jesus. Remember, Jesus is the only way, so if you don’t know Him, please pray and seek Him out. If you need a prayer partner, never hesitate to contact me. My favorite verse today is: If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5)

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I pray all is well with everyone, and you're enjoying the end of another workweek (for most). This week has flown by, and I can't believe its Friday already. It seems like I barely had time to blink. Sometimes busy is good, but I guess it depends on the circumstances. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend, and spending some time with family. Tomorrow will mark a day of indepence for me, and it is very, very, exciting. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. I guess I spoke too soon about the good weather we're having yesterday, because there are forecasts of snow, and it has definitely gotten colder. Oh well seasons change, and there's nothing I could do about that. I'll survive, because I've survived 31 other winters, I can get through this one too, by the grace of God. Have a wonderful weekend family, and whatever you do, do it for the Lord.

Today's scriptures are about requesting wisdom from God. Wisdom is something that's acquired over a lifetime, and it comes through life lessons and journeys. Some people confuse wisdom with knowledge, and that's where the average person get's lost on their Spiritual journey. Wisdom is defined: the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight. Knowledge is defined: acquaintance with facts, truths, or principles, as from study or investigation; general erudition. They both work together, but God gives us wisdom, and we acquire knowledge for ourselves, and it's important to differentiae the two. Paul speaks a lot about this in 1 Corinthians chapter 2, and when he addressed the church, he spoke with the wisdom of God, so that everyone could understand. He said: And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God (vs. 4-5). He goes on to explain that God grants wisdom to each of us in His on time. Paul also pointed out the magnitude of the wisdom of God, and quoted a scripture from Isaiah 64:4: “ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (vs. 9) He also said that this wisdom was revealed to him through the Spirit. People who don't have the Spirit cannot begin to search the "deep things of God" (vs 10). He concludes this chapter by saying: These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ (vs. 13-16). Did you know that you have the mind of Christ? Wow! Jesus taught that all we have to do is seek, ask, and believe. He also often said "O ye of little Faith", because we are foolish, until we seek the knowledge of God. Constantly seeking to obtain this wisdom strongly deepens our relationship with Him, because He continuously reveals Himself to us. It's wonderful to become educated in the worlds way, because we need to have that knowledge to be able to maneuver in our day-to-day life, but it's dangerous to put our focus solely on that. We could read numerous books that gives us no wisdom, and watch hours of television programs that don't promote growth, but won't take the time to open the bible for 1 hour a day, or even go to church for 1 hour a week. There are numerous people who have several college degrees and certifications, but cannot quote the Lord's Prayer, yet claim to be a Christian. We can be so smart, but foolish at the same time, and Paul warns us in 3:19: For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”. I'll leave you with this; God has predestined us to do great things, and has etched out a path to get there. We're all considered to be "Israel", and we have a "promised land” waiting at the end of our journey. We've been given a map, compass, tour guide, and all of the supplies we need to make it there. On the way, we'll learn new things, love, hate, laugh, cry, hurt, and be hurt, and that's the joy of life. We have something to accomplish that's greater than what we could possible understand, and we have the mind of Christ and His power to promote life. Make sure you don't take that power for granted, and ask for help when you need it. If you don't know Jesus as Lord, then you're missing something special, but you don't have too. I was reading Joyce Meyers devotional book this morning, and she said we often get caught up in works, yet miss that one on one time with God. He's not asking for our money, nor impressed by our social status, He just wants us. Give Him all of you, and be open to receive His wisdom. My favorite verses today are: Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 1:6-8)

HAPPY TUESDAY!

I pray all is well with everyone, and you're enjoying this terrific Tuesday. I'm doing well, looking forward to an awesome weekend, and it's still early in the week. It's coming close to Thanksgiving, which is a little over one week away. Can you believe it? We're having a big Thanksgiving dinner at my church, and I'm looking forward to food and fellowship. Most importantly, I get to have some fried turkey, and I've only had it once before. Please know that I'll be in the gym really heavy this week, and next week to get prepared. Turkey, Honey Baked Ham, Turducken, all types of sides, and cranberry sauce, yummy! I love food, so I guess that's why I'm a Chef. It seems I'm always rushing against time lately. Please pray for my catering company to get off of the ground; because I feel like I'm losing it, my dishes are hit or miss now, because I don't practice enough. Today's scriptures are about understanding the Wisdom of God. How powerful do you think we would be if we fully understood all of the thoughts of God? I don't know how many times I've cried out, "God why me?" I'm sure all of us have experienced that at one time or another, and in some cases God will reveal the reasons behind the storms, and in other cases we'll never know until we reach Heaven. I often say that God is above anything on this earth, and there is no greater god than He. We don't have the ability to understand the enormity of God, and it's only by His Spirit that we’ll ever be able to receive His allotted wisdom. It's almost like an epiphany when He reveals the truth and light to us. Have you ever been studying a subject in school that you just couldn't grasp, then one day, after studying and tutoring, you finally get it? We have those moments with God more often then not. Times when it seems like He’s not listening, or we’re missing that connection, then all of a sudden He shows up with this strong force that confirms His love for us. It's not until we seek His knowledge will we be able to dig deeper into who He is. Jesus taught in ways that forced us to use wisdom and our Holy Spirit to understand God’s will. He taught in Parables, and it's written: And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. (Matthew 13:10-13) What does Jesus mean by all of this? If you look at it in the eyes of the world, it'll make your head spin. However, if you look at it through the Holy Spirit, you'll know exactly what it means. God reveals things to each of us differently, so it may be saying one thing to you, but something totally different to me. I believe that Jesus spoke to us in parables to force us to get in tuned with our Spirit. He wanted us to dig deeper, and seek the knowledge from our heart, and not our head. The knowledge will only come to those who are worthy of receiving, and you'll know by your fruits. When you get some time, continue reading the remainder of chapter 13. Although it may be said that you will never know everything that God knows you still have to constantly seek the answers. God will grant wisdom to whoever asks. As part of our ultimate commandment, "Love the Lord God with all of your heart", we must take the time get to know Him. However, you cannot communicate with God under the burden of sin. The only way to be separated from sin is through Jesus Christ, who in turn anoints you with His Holy Spirit. God is Spirit and we are flesh, so we must communicate through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said this to Peter before He was crucified: I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. (John 16:12-15) If you don’t understand, then stop what you're doing and say a prayer, first asking Jesus to be your Savior, then asking the Holy Spirit to grant you the wisdom to understand, and stay focused with a pure heart. My favorite verse today is: We ... do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. (Colossians 1:9)
